The history of winter sports in North Creek dates back to the early 1900’s, as being the first town to offer a ski train that came all the way from New York City! People in masses would escape the hustle of the busy NYC streets, pack up their boots and ride the ski train all the way to North Creeks Railway Station, still located on the north end of Main Street. The rope tow was first introduced at the North Creek Ski Bowl as the first “lift” to take skiers to the top so they could slide down!
