With many people still working remotely, there has been a shift in vacationing and time away from home altogether. Pack up your laptop and head to the mountains for a winter vacation full of fun! Mix in your ability to work from “home”, and get comfortable in your private room at the Alpine Lodge. With high speed internet throughout the property, it is the perfect place to work, stay and play this winter!

Each room is unique, offering some options with full kitchens, living rooms, desks, jacuzzi tubs and gas fireplaces! Whichever works for you, finding the perfect place to work comfortably while spending some relaxing time in the Adirondacks has never been easier.

The Alpine Lodge is central to numerous outdoor activities for the entire family. Just 5 minutes from Gore Mountain, many people come to the area to hit the slopes. While downhill skiing and riding is the most popular outdoor activity in the area, there are so many other wonderful things to do to fill your time here with wonderful memories.

Check out the snowshoe and cross country trails at the North Creek Ski Bowl! This awesome outdoor recreational area features kilometers of track set, groomed cross country trails as well as snowshoe options throughout the hills. Grab your nordic pass from the Minder Lodge at the Ski Bowl and explore! Garnet Hill Ski Center is also a wonderful option for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Both locations offer rental equipment! Venture through the caves and canals in Pottersville. Stone Bridges and Caves offers a super cool nature exploration throughout their snowshoe trails!

Take the kids sledding and skating at Dynamite Hill or Minerva Beach! Dynamite Hill in Chestertown, NY is open during the weekends for tubing, sledding, ice skating and skiing. This small but super fun hill has snowmaking regularly, a tow rope and an ice skating rink! Minerva Beach is only 10 minutes from the Alpine Lodge and has an ice skating rink and sledding hill.

Shops and dining surround the Alpine Lodge. Walk down the Hudson River Trading Company and check out all the amazing Adirondack themed items they have on display. This beautiful store features rustic furniture, high end outdoor clothing, glass wear, locally made garnet jewelry and much more. Prepare to get lost inside, browsing through all the beautiful items. Foothills Antiques, Braley and Noxon Hardware and Trimmers Salon and Shop are also right on Main Street and within walking distance to the lodge.

The incredible bounce back of dining in the Gore Mountain region has been welcomed with open arms by visitors and locals alike. On Main Street alone, there are three breakfast restaurants and over five options for lunch and dinner, both for take out and indoor dining! Recently, Hey Days Pizza place opened directly across the street from the Alpine, with afternoon fireside apres ski! Order a pizza and keep it simple, but delicious! Chef Jake’s Take Out from barVino and Gypsy Pop Up dinners from Izzy’s Market are two of the most popular options for dinner in the area. Feel like indoor dining? No problem – Basil & Wicks, Becks Tavern, Trappers Tavern, Sticks and Stones and the Bull House are all 5-20 minute drives from the Alpine!
