With nearby attractions like the Hudson River, Gore Mountain, and Lake George, plus tons of local music, shops, and dining, there’s no shortage of things to do in and around North Creek, NY. So whether you’re here for the culture, the connection, the adventure, or all three, Alpine Lodge by Weekender is here to help you curate the perfect getaway.
Summer & Fall
Summertime is arguably the best time in the Adirondacks: yard games, whitewater rafting, a nearby theme park, horseback riding, hiking, biking, tubing, kayaking… there’s just so much to do here! And even after your fun-filled adventure, the excitement doesn’t stop: North Creek has live music, great dining, and wonderful historic shops that keep you entertained all day long. It all adds up to be the perfect summer vacation.
Once fall hits, the mountains explode in color, making this the perfect time to ride the rails and take it all in. Alternatively, you could book our Autumn Romance Package and enjoy a bird’s-eye view of nature’s display from a Gore Mountain SkyRide gondola. Spend the next day on a build-your-own brewery tour or head back out for some hiking with panoramic views, then relax next to the bonfire in the perfect autumn weather.
Winter & Spring
Did you know that the state of New York has the most—and some of the best—ski resorts in the United States? And at Alpine Lodge, you’re within a short drive of world-class slopes, like Gore Mountain and the North Creek Ski Bowl (North Creek was actually rated the #3 ski-town in the U.S. in 2021!). Plus, with all of North Creek’s dining options, local entertainment, and our lodge fireplace, you’ll have plenty to do to wind down after your day in the snow.
In spring, you can dive headfirst (though not literally, please) into a whitewater rafting adventure, as the water is highest and most exhilarating this time of year (don’t worry, they provide wetsuits!). It’s also a great time to get out into nature on a hike, ride the rails, or visit one of the unique nearby attractions like Kemp Animal Sanctuary or Natural Stone Bridge and Caves.
