$30 Million Outdoor Lodge Being Built at Ski Bowl Park

North Creek has long held a place in peoples hearts for summer days spent in the woods and at the lake, campfires with family, and those dusty polaroid moments that you look back on with your children and grandchildren. The Adirondack Mountains are home to golden age moments you never forget.

On January 25th, 2022, it was announced that Gore Mountain and New York State will be building a new $30 Million Lodge and first ever (in the North East) rail zip-line at North Creek’ Ski Bowl.

This project is exciting for many reasons such as the opportunity for jobs, new restaurants, and perhaps most importantly opening up North Creek to year around tourism as opposed to seasonal tourism that North Creek has survived on in recent years.

The proposed 18,300 sq. ft. building will feature a wall made entirely of windows offering breathtaking views of Gore Mountain on three different levels both indoor and outdoor. Like most of Gore Mountains Lodges, you will find gear rental shops, restaurants, and, the hub for Gore Mountains one of a kind zip-line which is said to be fully handicap accessible as it appears to be a combination of a downhill chairlift and a zip-line.

In recent years, Gore Mountain has spent summers building mountain bike trails at both the main mountain and at the North Creek Ski Bowl in effort to open the mountain up to year around tourism.
With the addition of the lodge and the zip-line, the Ski Bowl will be teeming with visitors year around, with autumn likely being the most sought after time to ride the zip-line through the changing foliage.

Revolution Rail, established in 2017 in North Creek also offers a unique experience of The Adirondacks. This year, they announced that they will be opening up another line just 25 minutes southeast of North Creek, in Hadley, New York. Take this stunning 6 mile journey down a southern section of the Hudson and Sacandaga Rivers and a Historic parabolic bridge and rapids that are sure to wow.
